Dr. Klaus Schneider graduated in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Stuttgart in 1980. He joined the Institute for Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulic Machinery of Stuttgart University as Research Assistant and finished his postgraduate studies in 1986 with the Ph.D. From 1995 to 2014 Dr. Schneider was with Schluchseewerk AG, Laufenburg, first as head of the mechanical engineering department, from 2001 till 2011 as chief technology officer. From 2011 till 2014 he worked as the company’s representative in numerous national and international associations. Since 2015 independent hydropower consultant.
