Mr. Tschernutter has gained more than 40 years of extensive international work and research experience in the fields of Hydraulic Engineering, Hydropower Design and Construction as well as Dam Engineering in over 22 countries. He is also a member of several national organizations and the Austrian ICOLD representative for Embankment Dam Engineering. In 2005 he was appointed as Head of the Hydraulic Engineering Department and the Hydraulic Laboratory at Vienna University of Technology. His scope of expertise includes the design and construction of water supply reservoirs and irrigation schemes, hydropower plants and dams, dam safety assessments, monitoring, maintenance and rehabilitation of existing structures.
